Ingredients

Crispy Chicken

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Filling

  • 6 slices cooked crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Garlic Bread

  • 1 large French baguette
  • 4 tablespoons softened butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Topping

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • Ranch dressing
  • Chopped parsley
  • Cooked bacon pieces

Instructions

Step 1

Slice the chicken breasts horizontally to create thin cutlets.

Place them between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound them to an even thickness.

Step 2

Prepare three bowls:

  • Flour in the first
  • Beaten eggs in the second
  • Breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third

Coat each chicken cutlet in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Heat about ½ inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Fry the chicken for approximately 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.

Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

Let cool slightly, then slice into strips.

Step 4

Combine the sliced chicken, bacon, mozzarella, cheddar, ranch dressing, green onions, and parsley.

Mix until the filling is evenly coated.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the baguette lengthwise, leaving the bottom connected if possible.

Step 6

Mix the softened butter with minced garlic and Italian seasoning.

Spread generously inside the baguette.

Step 7

Pack the chicken-bacon-ranch mixture into the baguette.

Press the filling down gently so the bread is completely stuffed.

Sprinkle the extra mozzarella over the top.

Step 8

Wrap the baguette loosely in foil.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the foil and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until the bread is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

For an extra-crispy top, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching carefully.

Step 10

Drizzle with ranch dressing.

Top with crispy bacon pieces and fresh parsley.

Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thick pieces.

Chef’s Tips

✅ Don’t overfill with ranch—the filling should be creamy but not wet.

✅ Let the fried chicken drain well before adding it to the filling.

✅ Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt.

✅ Broil briefly at the end for an extra-golden top.

Common Mistakes

❌ Using too much ranch dressing.

❌ Adding extremely hot chicken directly to the cheese mixture.

❌ Overloading the baguette with sauce.

❌ Skipping the uncovered baking stage.
